  When one member tried to sum up what made FCC unique, he said it was inclusive to everyone, whatever their situation. After one visit I can confirm that he wasn't just talking it up - right away the greeter said hello to me as if I had been attending regularly; the sermon itself was delivered by a woman, who started off talking about same sex marriage. She didn't damn it or say it was right, but redirected the conversation towards powerful women, equality, and ultimately, love. The topic of women and the bible is one I've been aching to understand, and I was struck by how deliberately and honestly she spoke about it. It was easy to meet and talk to people afterwards, which is really hard for an quiet introvert unsure of her own faith. But it wasn't seconds before people introduced themselves and conversed happily over delicious, home-made pie and coffee. Plus, the church has that warm, inviting smell of aged wood. Mm. Overall, it was a comfortable and intriguing experience for a newcomer. I'll be going back.
